Twenty-three and a half years have now passed since we were called to do the estate that had been closed up for seventeen years!

The Voodoo Estate

Our research has shown that this woman was what she claimed and was indeed descended from a long line of well known Vodoun family originating in New Orleans in the early 1800's.

We were pretty unnerved by this until we discovered they were also devout Catholics!  Although I have to admit this was unlike any Catholic home we have ever been in and some of the items found inside were a little more than disturbing.

There was no feeling of dread or unwelcome in the mansion, however there was quite a bit of contraband and other items we can or will not sell here.

This is one of a few pieces from this estate we will be listing this week, so check our other listings!

We will, upon the new guardian's request, issue a named Letter of Authenticity with each lot from this estate, complying with the terms set forth to us by the estate's attorney.

The Main Altar of Healing

Found at her, "Main Altar of Healing."  This Main Altar of Healing was what amounted to a small infirmary...of sorts.   Located in an east facing porched hall on the first floor it contained many unusual artifacts with alleged healing attributes.  She does indeed record some dramatic, if not always successful treatments that she performed.  Although, we must add, her record of successful treatment, although bizarre to many, had better than a 90% cure ratio, which, if true, is rather impressive.

Manitoba Angakut's Magnetite Serpentine Box

Her journals and inventory tell us this is one of four similar boxes she had made from magnetite serpentine specimen she obtained from the Inuit Holy Men of an unnamed location in Manitoba along the Hudson Bay in 1937.  Apparently she and her party were there to, "study the religious practices of the Intuit."  She had not been the first of those associated with this estate to do so, and she presented herself to them with references.

Her five week visit with these shaman ended in a gift giving trade ceremony with her inventory listing clothing, ritual masks, rattles, baskets, primitive weapons, jewelry and numerous rough mineral specimen being given to her by various members of this group.  She in turn primarily gave them knives, guns and ammunition which they were apparently pleased to receive.

Seventy pounds of this serpentine was brought to the estate from this foray in the form of rough specimen which she commissioned to numerous craftsman to be carved into a Buddha, these boxes and ground into beads.  This being one of the four boxes.

She also compiled a journal of copious notes concerning the social and religious practices of her Inuit hosts, and afterward made numerous entries concerning this mineral, some of which read; 

 “Their practices and beliefs are correctly animist.  As we have learned long ago, everything has a spirit, non-living, and living alike.  These are mortal to this world, but immortal in nature, so when a spirit dies here it continues life in an alternate spirit world.  Their holy men and women, which they call, 'Angakoks' have been chosen and trained in the art of magic which is the strength and ability to control spirits. These are well versed and powerful religious leaders who use music, chant, dance and charms to communicate and invoke the spirits.  Their charms and talisman encompass their ritual dance masks which usually have an animal form.  These have been embodied to communicate with those in the spirit world.”

“Conflict between individuals or groups is non-existent.  This is a peaceful society that is self reliant, practicing sharing as part of their social order.  This is called ‘Nigiqtuq’ in their tongue, and a valued trait in their society.  Theirs is a harsh, unforgiving environment and they depend on each other to survive.  This makes ‘Nigiqtuq’ the basis of their culture.  Everything is shared within their communities.”

 

“The Inuit, like all Native cultures uncorrupted by the Anglo, have a spiritual relationship with the world around them.  Their Angakkuq are visionary religious leaders and healers that are in touch with the spirit worlds.  As European medicine and science are slowly discovering, there are many world’s other than this.”

Concerning this serpentine she writes; “This strong positive and negative polarity is what creates attraction.  One may find this brings about that which you desire.  It flows with our own bio magnetic fields, the meridians and chakra's, harmonizing them with that of the planet.  You will find that which you seek has always been within.”

 

“I have found this to be a healing stone that draws out parasitic infections and has proven useful in treating snake and insect venoms.  It is a versatile mystic stone that cleanses emotion and heightens psychic ability, well suited for use in the rise of the Kundalini as it facilitates this rise by opening the comfortable path.  It is protective on all planes but especially in the waking world against snakebite, poison, and venom."  

 

“The Magnetite inclusions are highly grounding, stable energies that afford a high level of protection to the healer.  It aligns the chakra, and manifests itself well when used in come to me, stay with me, and other love rituals.”

 

“Science and medicine are discovering the ancient healing uses defined in subtle magnetism.  With their primitive understanding of the physical mind and neural pathways they are beginning to develop a limited understanding of how, and why certain species are able to navigate their respective terrains.  We all have a compass like ability that uses the earth’s magnetic fields.  Here is a bio magnetism that is formed by ancient living cellular matter.”

Examination Reveals  a deceptively heavy handmade magnetite serpentine brass inlaid lidded box measuring approximately 7" x 4" x 4" and weighing 6 lbs., 8 oz.

It displays an unusual dark green to black color shift with magnetite flecks throughout.

The Contents

Inside we find six of what are named "Brazilian Shaman's Crystals" and a single Ma Saep Nang, Phra Sant Yant, Sex Magic Dream Ritual Cloth.

 The Crystals

These are some of the few remaining specimen recovered from her collection of "ritual healing" formations.  She assembled this group and used them in treating a host of physical, psychological, and metaphysical disorders in this healing altar room.  They were well inventoried and indexed for use, which would seem by her journal entries that they would be, "prescribed" for use with her patients along with certain, "healing mantra, spells, herbs and potions to cure their maladies."  What she prescribes is a mixture of Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, Native American, Hebrew, Muslim, (and a host of other), but assuredly a set of traditional religious healing practices that originated from the African diaspora. She attributes their use as, "extraordinary healers to heal mind and body which stimulate and amplify the flow of chakra energy."

Brazilian Shaman's 3 1/2" Faden Lined Tabular Crystal

She makes make numerous references to this source of quartz crystal, some of which read, "it is coveted for its anchoring earth energies for those with an appreciation for the earth mother."

Its Tabular shape refers to it having a flat shape, ie; two sides that are wider than the other four.  These crystals are also commonly known as “Tabby.”  Her journals confirm the general belief that this formation is an excellent transmitter of thought energy and contain information relating to our planet. It has excellent clarity through approximately 20% of its formation.
There are sharp areas of this formation which they tell us were intentionally used to draw blood onto the crystal in order to activate it.

Further examination reveals hidden Record Keepers and areas of self healing.  It does seem that the longer one examines their crystals, the more that  is found!  The Record Keepers are triangular etchings that do not conform to the norm.  Although record keepers are usually small, slightly raised or indented triangular shapes found on quartz crystal faces.

They are usually in alignment with the crystal's point.  Sometimes though they appear sideways or upside down and are the called Trigonic record keepers.  The record keepers can be found by shining a light on the faces of the crystal and moving it around slowly until they appear.  It is believed that record keepers will appear out of nowhere and move around, in and on the crystal formation.  

The crystal also displays areas of self healing.  Self healed crystals were broken off of their original matrix.  This occurs with the movements and shifts in the Earth, environment, pressure, and other nearby forming crystals. 

Their journals tell us "it has a powerful direct focused energy emission."

3 3/8" Self Healed Timeline Inner Child Rainbow Crystal

It should also be noted that their crystals found their way to many areas of practice conducted throughout the estate being used in "divination, spell and individual work as well as healing." Our examination of this crystal concluded it is as she describes, "a Self Healed, Timeline, Inner Child, Rainbow Crystal Point" and much more!
It measures approximately 3 3/8" x 1 9/16" x 1 9/16" and weighs 124.4 grams.
It is a Self Healed crystal with Timelines to the past and future with excellent clarity through approximately 80% of its formation and a distinct inner child growth and Aurora Borealis or Rainbow inclusions visible within its interior structure. 

  There are also numerous sharp areas of this formation which they tell us were intentionally used to draw blood onto the crystal in order to activate it.  Close examination reveals many tiny hidden Record Keepers in the future timeline.  These are triangular etchings on some of that body plane that do not conform to the norm.

Gazing within the crystal, which views with excellent clarity, we find why quartz crystal assists in healing any condition and is respected for its purifying effects.  This is an excellent crystal for meditation.

A Right Timeline to the Future Window is a right leaning facet that can reveal future incarnations and events.  Her journals tell us they activate right brain function.

Aurora Borealis or Rainbow inclusions are caused by fractures.  They used rainbow crystal for their happy energies and love auras,

 These inclusions will appear white until you pick it up and exhale upon or warm it by holding, revealing the colorful display.  Connect to the gift of love these crystals which Rainbows bring.

She goes on to tell us, "there are elestial etchings along the planes.  Use these to access Akashic records." 

"A left leaning timeline to the past appears as a parallelogra, be it a thin sliver or thick.  It activates the left functions of the-brain functions to access the past which can be your own in this incarnation or others.

4" Self Healed Inner Child Artemis Crystal

Our examination of this crystal reveals "a Self Healed, Inner Child, Artemis Crystal Point" as the title implies, and much more!

It measures approximately 4" x 2 3/8" x 1" and weighs 61.8 grams.

This is long thin point formation with a 6 to 1 ratio.  The term “Candle” crystals is not be confused with Candle Quartz. (Candle Quartz looks a lot like a Cathedral or Lightbrary crystal.) 

These long thin crystals are called “Candle” due to their shape (like a birthday candle), and “Artemis” because they resemble arrows (long and thin). (Artemis: Greek Goddess devoted to hunting and nature most usually depicted wielding a bow and arrows, with the arrow pulled back and ready to fire.) That is the type of energy Artemis crystals have. 

It displays excellent clarity through approximately 80% of its formation and a distinct inner child growth.  Her journals tell us this crystal will focus energy and speed prayers to their targets as an arrow true.

3 9/16" Self Healed Tabular Record Keeper Crystal

Her journals and inventory go on to tell us this, 3 9/16" x 1 3/16" x  1 3/8",  113.2 gram tabular formation and its companions were obtained during her 1962 Brazilian Shaman artifact hunt. 

It has many of the aforementioned attributes of these crystal formations

2 1/2" Self Healed Dolphin Quartz Crystal

Examination reveals a 2 1/2" x 1" x  1",  49.4 gram Self Healed Dolphin Quartz Crystal formation which was also obtained during her 1962 Brazilian Shaman artifact hunt. 

It is not quite a tabular crystal but appears to have been one developing.

A dolphin quartz crystal has a smaller crystal attached to its side that is not quite large enough to be a twin, just aligned in a like manner. 

A larger crystal with a smaller crystal riding alongside like a baby dolphin following its mother. 

Although we could not find any of her journal entries to attribute this crystal, our metaphysical crystal expert tells us, Dolphin quartz crystals are full of playful energies that attract loving spirit guides that work well with children.

2 7/16" Tabular Timeline Barnacle Bloodletting Crystal

She does name this one as "a Tabular Barnacle Bloodletting Crystal with a Timeline to the Past." 

It measures approximately 2 7/16" x 2 1/8" x 1 5/16" and weighs 58.4 grams.

She calls this one "an ancient old soul of an oracle."  It is obvious as to why this one is specifically named a "bloodletting crystal" please handle with care.

Ma Saep Nang, Phra Sant Yant, Sex Magic Dream Ritual Cloth

 

These are vintage copies of the original antique versions of these sex ritual cloths. The originals were made by unknown monk(s) or sorcerer(s), perhaps in collaboration with others. This design is first recorded sometime in the early 1940's but is known to be considerably older. This is an old depiction that is often copied and sold today, but none of the vendor's who had them were able to provide correct information as to the maker monk or their associated temple to this day.

 

Our research leads us to believe the design is of Burmese, or Malaysian origin by a Thai or Cambodian refugee monk or Ajarn.

This is a sacred Pha Yant Mah Saep Nang cloth and is considered one of the most powerful love amulets ever created. It is a sacred-charm cloth amulet with many alleged attributes but foremost for its ability to increase sex appeal and convert enemies into friends. Its main theme of a stallion having sexual intercourse with a young maiden is supposed to be obviously synonymous with the power of sex appeal. It is a very powerful and highly potent symbol of sexual prowess and masculinity in Thailand. The cloth is also covered with sacred spells to increase the power of the cloth amulet.

 

This design was created in strict accordance with ancient sciences. They are made from the same material used as shrouds to cover the deceased prior to cremation. According to the Thai belief, the spirit of those that die may possibly depart the cadaver and possess those that attempt to remove the cloth. The attending monk(s) employ powerful spells to ensure the departed soul becomes a positive force for the good of helping worshippers of the sacred cloth yants and not harming them!

 

This has always been an obscure and arcane practice, and today, very few monks create this type of charm amulet because the knowledge of how to do so is quickly dying as each generation passes. The cloths are believed by many to possess miraculous power and are attributed as the most powerful of all love charms.

 

Her journals tell us she would use these, “over the pillows and under the pillowcases and, or place them under the sheets, mattress or bed for multiple blessings for relationships such as, sex magic, love, sex appeal, fertility, charm, success and good fortune. There are numerous Akara (spells) surrounding the core theme of one of the most potent symbols of sexual prowess and masculinity, Maa Saep Nang, the young female being fucked silly by horse cock.” (although this imagery is powerful it is not meant to be taken literally)

 

The exact history of the Ma Saep Nang Maha Sanae Wicha (Charm Magic) is not known but many scholars have evidence to suggest that it first originated in Burma and initially established itself in the Lanna kingdom of present day Thailand. Little is ever mentioned about Burmese magic but it is thought to be equally as powerful as the much publicized  Khmer magic. It is known that Burmese kings imported large numbers of Sanskrit texts from India on topics such as medicine, alchemy, incantation, sex and astrology. In Burma, these Buddhist wizards are practitioners of what is called the weikza-lam (path of occult knowledge).

 

This tradition still exists today in Burma (present day Myanmar), and the largest of the groups practicing this occult path is based in the city of Pegy, and is called the Manosetopad Gaing. Like their Thai counterparts, this organization bases an interest in the occult on the powers attained by the Buddha on the path to enlightenment. They also believe that the relics of the Buddha (Burmese dat-daw) (Pali dhatu) are possessed of a kind of majestic power that he infused in them through the force of his samadhi. It is clear from reading many of the ancient texts that the Burmese magic is based on a much older tradition of Spirit religions and animistic world views

 

In fact Ma Saep Nang is only one of a series of four related (Sut Yot Sanae) images that comprise the original Maha Sanae wicha, the others being, Nang Song Wua Saep, (two bulls and female),  Sam Noo Gin Nam Nom Meaw (three rats/mice drinking cats milk) this Maha Sanae Wicha was made famous by Ajahn Chum Chaikiri, and finally See Wua Gin Nam Nom Seua (four cows drinking tigers milk).

 

According to the popular legend of this magic a family that had a very beautiful daughter who was made responsible for tending to a prime specimen male horse on a daily basis. She eventually becomes very attached to the horse and actually falls in love and has a sexual encounter with her charge. Her father learns of this and is so ashamed that he kills the horse. The end result is a dead heart for the young girl. Essentially the Maa Saep Nang magic and yants are associated with strong and powerful lust and attraction.

 

One of her journal entries gives us this sacred spell or Khata to chant over these cloths;

And she goes on to tell us, “if you decide to walk this path you must fill you mind with nothing other then thoughts of the Three Jewels. This will generate loving kindness toward the various grades of nats (here she refers to powerful nature spirits dwelling in trees, the earth, and mountains, the minor deities who preside over the use of magical incantations and diagrams, and medicine spirits whose domain includes the well-known herbs and minerals of alchemical lore). 

 

Some other entries warn of, "the uninitiated using the cloth during seduction or sexual intercourse. This has led to painful, long lasting erections in the male and nymphomania in the female."

Yant Magic

 

Our own research has shown all Yant, fall into the amulet category known as Kruang Reang i.e. Objects of Magic. These are sacred images of high age from past guru masters that are highly collectible and can command a high price on today’s market. The symbolism they display are usually seen as tattoos known as Sak Yant, of the Khmer Sorcerer Monks, Muay Tai fighters, mixed martial artists and some celebrities today. When this intricate script is written on cloth it is known as 'Phra Yant'. It is also etched on the soft metals used in Takrut's and on many Thai amulets.

 

The word Yant itself comes from the old the Sanskrit meaning, 'a sacred geometrical design', and is usually accompanied with a written Khom script or set of characters which are linked to the prayer or katha. The script is a combination of Khom, Thai and the Sanskrit language, which is a style of early Khmer wicha magic that has been adopted by Buddhist monks and Ajarns (civilian Brahmins) of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia.

 

In its form as a tattoo, (Sak Yant) it is much more than a fashion statement. It is intrinsically linked to Buddha, Buddhist precepts and the guru master who created it. The worshipper must truly believe and follow any instructions, as it is said the embedded wicha power may vanish if the are not followed.

 

Each design is unique in meaning and purpose as crafted by its maker, but follows a common theme such as bringing good luck and fortune, protection from harm and accidents, warding off evil spirits, love and attraction, power and success, great fighter, great lover, great talker etc.

 

In any of its forms, the sorcerer monk will chant his own form of incantation spell and ancient katha chant, at some point during the end of the process of making the yant, which concludes with Pao Katha, a blowing of the masters breath across the article to bind and activate the magical formula.

  Her journals tell us one of Uncle Khoo's Phra Pidta amulets were given to one of her associates (1898 LiDiex) prior to his U.S Army deployment to the Pacific during World War II. In one of his journal entries he tells of being shot in the face and stomach at point blank range by a pair of Japanese soldiers, the bullets falling to the ground after bouncing off of him. He attributes his amulet Phra Pidta with saving his life. The Japanese soldiers did not fare as well. He was not wearing any of his many amulets the day he was killed.

 

Similar stories abound in Thai and Malaysian police files and military veteran testimony. Although early police files indicate the criminal, wearing or carrying a Phra Yant was attributed with invulnerability, speed, and/or invisibility, it did not take the police officers long to catch on. More often than not, they carry them today!

 

All of this is a fascinating study of the cultural magic practiced in Thailand that we wholeheartedly recommend you research further.

Cellulose

Cellulose is an organic compound consisting of a linear chain of several hundred to many thousands of ß(1?4) linked D-glucose units. It is an important structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Some species of bacteria secrete it to form biofilms. Cellulose is the most abundant organic polymer on Earth. The cellulose content of cotton fiber is 90%, that of wood is 40–50%, and that of dried hemp is approximately 57%.

 

It is mainly used to produce paperboard and paper. Smaller quantities are converted into a wide variety of derivative products such as cellophane and rayon. Conversion of cellulose from energy crops into biofuels such as cellulosic ethanol is under development as a renewable fuel source. Cellulose for industrial use is mainly obtained from wood pulp and cotton. Some animals, particularly ruminants and termites, can digest cellulose with the help of symbiotic micro-organisms that live in their guts, such as Trichonympha. In human nutrition, cellulose is a non-digestible constituent of insoluble dietary fiber, acting as a hydrophilic bulking agent for feces and potentially aiding in defecation. It has no taste, is odorless, is hydrophilic with the contact angle of 20–30 degrees, is insoluble in water and most organic solvents, is chiral and is biodegradable. It was shown to melt at 467 °C in 2016. It can be broken down chemically into its glucose units by treating it with concentrated mineral acids at high temperature.

We have been contacted and visited by a number of people who were interested in the items from this estate since our first batch was listed.  Among the buyers have been known psychics and practitioners.  More than one, after adorning themselves or handling their purchase, stated "this is a woman of power!"  Many of our customers, after receiving items from this estate have reported dream contacts and other unexplained phenomenon.
